Buzzing The Burj, Like A Pro,...The IAF Way [Picture Of The Day]

Nearly a decade since it was shot, spotted this picture on Reddit recently.

A pair of Sukhoi Su-30 MKI Fighters, belonging to the Indian Air Force [IAF], flying past Dubai's iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper building.

The IAF visited the desert kingdom to participate in 'Exercise Desert Eagle I' from Abu Dhabi's Al-Dhafra Air Base, in the United Arab Emirates, alongside their Emirati counterparts. A follow-on engagement, 'Exercise Desert Eagle-II' took place in 2016.

A perfectly safe, disciplined fly-past, maintaining adequate distance between itself & the structure, unlike unruly Maverick. A beauty, it is, to watch the bird go about its business, every single time.

TIL: Burj, in Arabic means Tower.
